Fara Warner is the global editorial director of WSJ Custom Studios, where she responsible for editorial and web development for the award-winning studio of The Wall Street Journal. The studio is the winner of a Cannes Lions for its investigative storytelling program about Pablo Escobar and the Medellín Cartel. She was previously the editorial director of AOL Tech, Business and Entertainment Group, overseeing editorial strategy and teams for leading technology blogs, TechCrunch and Engadget. At AOL, she launched a new platform, This Built America, an immersive editorial project that explored the re-imagining of American manufacturing. She was formerly the editorial director of international special editions at Newsweek/DailyBeast. She has taught journalism at the University of Michigan and Michigan State University and is the author of the best-selling business book "The Power of the Purse: How Smart Companies Are Adapting to the World's Most Important Consumers." She holds a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University. She lives in New York City and West Shokan, N.Y.
