Waliya Lari is an award-winning television news producer. Her accolades include Emmys, a Murrow and Associated Press awards. Currently, she's the executive producer at WRAL News, in Raleigh, N.C.,one of the most-watched local news channels in the country. Her duties include managing and running a 120-person newsroom that puts on the air nearly 10 hours of live news a day and overseeing special news programming. A proud Texan and University of Texas at Austin alum, she lives in Raleigh with her husband.
